The Ekofisk 2/4 L platform, the largest accommodation and field center in the North Sea, serves as a critical telecommunications and coordination hub for air and sea traffic in the Greater Ekofisk Area. The challenge was to establish a robust, high-speed cabling infrastructure to support multiple advanced systems—infotainment, VOIP telephony, IP CCTV surveillance, and high-speed data and network access—across living quarter cabins, conference areas, and meeting rooms, all while meeting the strict requirements of an offshore floating platform.
